welcome to a new Fandom Nails entry! I hope you're doing great, right now I'm a little bit tired and sleepy haha but I'm here for this...
si siguen mi blog principal ya saben que fui a ver The Scorch Trials (Prueba de Fuego) en la función de medianoche (si quieren saber más, click aquí) y, obviamente, tenía que pintar mis uñas!
if you follow my main blog you already know that I went to watch The Scorch Trials on its midnight showing (if you want to know more click here) and, obviously, I had to paint my nails!
fue todo un reto ya que no tenía inspiración y no decidía que diseño hacer... así que les cuento como estuvo todo, comencemos!
it was a real challenge 'cause I didn't have inspiration and I couldn't decide what to do... so let me tell you how was everything, let's start!
este fue el resultado final... la verdad no estoy contenta con él; creo que no fue lo que yo esperaba y los esmaltes no funcionaron muy bien, digamos que todo estuvo en mi contra :P
this is the final result... honestly I don't like how it looks; I think this is not what I wanted and the polishes didn't work very well, let's say everything was against me :P
bueno, debo decir que me inspiré en una de mis partes favoritas del libro: la tormenta eléctrica, es por eso que hice una especie de relámpagos, también hice un poco de fuego, no sólo por el nombre en español (prueba de Fuego), sino porque cuando describen el lugar donde están dicen que "hay fuego por todas partes" y hace mucho calor...
well, I have to say I got the inspiration from my favourite part of the book: the electric storm, that's why I made some kind of lightnings, I also made some fire, not because the title in spanish (something like "Trial of Fire"), but for the book, that describe the Scorch like a place "with fire everywhre" and the horrible heat...
en todas las uñas usé negro como color base, éste esmalte tiene destellos dorados, pero no se veían muy bien así que agregué una capa de glitter muy fino dorado; después en dos uñas (dedo medio y anular) usé rojo, naranja y amarillo para hacer una especie de llamas
I painted all the nails with black as a base, this polish has golden "glitter" but it looked like plain black so I used a coat of thin golden glitter to make them look sparkly, then I used red, orange and yellow to make some fire (flames)
en las tres uñas sobrantes (pulgar, índice y meñique) utilicé una esponja con color blanco para hacer una especie de "nube" de forma vertical, después hice lo mismo con gris y posteriormente con naranja; después con blanco hice la forma del relámpago; para finalizar usé esmalte que brilla en la obscuridad para hacer que el rayo brillara :P
on the other three nails (thumb, point and pinky) I used an sponge with white polish to make some kind of vertical "cloud", then I did the same with gray and after with some orange; to make the lightning I used white and to end I applied to it some glow-in-the-dark polish
como ya lo dije no estoy contenta con como se ven, pero no tuve tiempo para hacer otro diseño y el esmalte negro no sirve muy bien (es una pena ya que me encanta); y sí, de nueva cuenta no usé top coat ya que siempre olvido comprar uno nuevo! espero recordarlo este mes...
as I said up there, I'm not happy with the result, but I didn't had more time to make a different design and the black polish was a nightmare! it didn't work well (it's shame 'cause I love it!); and yes, I didn't apply top coat again 'cause I forgot to buy one, I hope to get one this month..
